Fiona Hall and director of the UK Association for the Conservation of Energy, Andrew Warren, on their way to meet the senior civil servant responsible for drafting the Czech National Energy Efficiency Action Plan. Fiona, who is writing the European Parliament's report on EU wide plans on energy efficiency, was on a fact-finding visit to Prague to hear from industry reps about how well energy efficiency laws are being put into practice in the Czech Republic.

The EUs REACH legislation caused many hundreds of constiuents to write to Fiona, concerned about animal welfare, she said '“Lib Dems are supporting additional measures to avoid duplication of tests involving use of animals, and for more encouragement to be given to the introduction of non-animal tests'.

DRC elections July 2006 - 9am on Monday 31st July, the morning after polling day. Polling station officials are still writing up the results of the count and filling in the necessary forms, having been at work since 5am the previous day.
